Gary W. Easterling, MD, FACOG

Dr. Easterling was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. He attended Michigan State University where, along with becoming a SPARTAN fan, he graduated cum laude with a degree in Psychology. He went on to attend medical school at Wayne State University. After completing his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Oakwood Hospital in Detroit, MI in 1991 he re-located to Sarasota, FL to begin practicing medicine.

In 1995 he and Dr. Joseph Corcoran formed the obstetrical practice which is now known as Gulf Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology of Sarasota, LLC.
Dr. Easterling takes a special interest in minimally invasive surgical procedures. Certified in laparoscopic and DaVinci Robotic Assisted Minimally Invasive Surgery, Dr. Easterling also serves as a physician proctor for DaVinci Robotic Assisted Minimally Invasive Surgery.

As part of his commitment to enhance women’s health care, Dr. Easterling was one of the first physicians in Sarasota County to become certified and serve as a physician proctor for a number of in-office procedures. He is able to complete procedures for abnormal bleeding in office that allow the patient to resume normal activities the next day safely, efficiently and typically for the cost of an office copay versus deductibles and coinsurances normally required for outpatient procedures.
