Gulf Coast Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the only Sarasota offices that can offer patients in-office procedures.

As a Level II Licensed Surgery Site, we can complete procedures for conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, abnormal pap smears, or even heavy menstrual cycles due to polyps or fibroids, can be evaluated and treated with quick procedures using hysteroscopy, the Novasure endometrial ablation or Myosure fibroid resection. These procedures offer little to no down time and often have dramatic improvements in patients’ quality of life.

Patients are able to recover and return home in less than one hour. Better yet, these procedures are often fully covered with only a copay, instead of applying to their deductible, significantly reducing the cost to the patient. Normally, outpatient procedures like these may only be offered in a hospital setting with a significant increase in cost. High-deductible plans may see out-of-pocket expenses as high as $5,000 or $10,000. During these economically challenging times, it may be a difficult for some to afford in-hospital care to evaluate these medical issues, as there is currently no official plan to replace these facilities.
